AMERICA’S IMMORAL SUPERIORITY
I agree that a view of this nation held by many was and is far different than the reality. But the view itself was part of the fraudulent planning. Apple Pie and the 4th of July, Stars and Stripes and Pride of the Pipes are surrounded with bittersweet and romantic memories.
The belief in benevolence of the keepers of this nation, built the cultural arrogance, which was supported by the keepers' concurring messages of superiority as a people. Blended into that belief, was the visible effect of some people's efforts toward realizing the values of the Bill of Rights.
That gave us the false belief of moral superiority.
But, from day one, the creation of this nation was an experiment in Kingdom making. The people responsible for the Bill of Rights becoming Constitutional were also responsible for the purchased Louisiana Territory and the expansion of the Kingdom.
What our founders may have understood from the study of Machiavelli, they failed to heed in his warnings in the expansion of Republic of States, and beyond.
And never did they foresee the population size, or the cultural diversity. Moving to a new land did not end the historic cultural battles of peoples based on ideologies, past allegiances, past oppressions, that occurred on lands far away from North America.
Moving those people out of the battle weary Roman Empire conquests, to a new land, did not end the generational memory of the same. It followed them. Nor did it end the religious radicalism that ripped England, Scotland, Europe, and Asia apart.
Those ideologies came with the first colonizers. If they couldn’t control the English crown, then maybe they could make a new society in America, until they found out that the same rules applied here. So they have spent 400 years trying to make America into their images.
But the romantic version recalls the religious persecution vs. the religious domination.
And as long as the memory of the past does not include the inequities in distribution of the spoils of wars, then dissent need not be censored. We are a very uncivilized body of people.
The rulers reflect our society.
