TORTURE BEYOND BELIEF IN IRAQ

Jamie Wilson of the Guardian UK News, reported last week, that the Iraqi Government began an investigation into the “alleged abuse of more than 170 detainees, found locked in an interior ministry bunker in Baghdad, many of them beaten and malnourished…” .

Apparently troops from the 3rd Infantry found mutilated corpses, torture instruments and skulls with electrode drill holes.

Hussein Kumal, a Deputy Interior Minister told Reuters, that he counted 161 detainees that “were being abused”.   He reported to CNN, "I've never seen such a situation like this during the past two years in Baghdad. This is the worst. I saw signs of physical abuse by brutal beating, one or two detainees were paralysed and some had their skin peeled off."

Then, if that was not bad enough, British trained Iraqi militias policing in Basra, apparently killed two of their jailed by drilling holes in them, the Independent on Sunday reported.   Basra Shiite officials do not care to investigate this one since they are well aware of the crimes and support the murder of their long standing enemy the Suni.  Let’s just call this a wanted removal of additional insurgents.  … and the bloodier the better.

Who needs Saddam Hussein??  The US and the UK are well versed in the methods of torture and murder, rape and humiliation.

Now, forgive me if I sound totally outraged by these events.  Didn’t the US and the UK invade and occupy the nation of Iraq under the heading of “liberate the Iraqis from the despotic Saddam Hussein”?  So, using the American language, and translating for those who seem to be under the spell of belief that the US and UK are benevolent occupiers, The US and the UK have lied thru their proverbial teeth.

A moment of honest discussion is called for here:  The people in the GW Bush cabal, namely, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Perle, Wolfowitz, Feith, Libby, and about 6 others, back in 1996, decided that removing Saddam Hussein without a plan for building the cultural peace in the nation, was a fun idea.   They labeled this assault, ‘democratizing the Middle East’, the great experiment.

Meanwhile, the UK, JUMPED at the chance to regain control of the lost Basra oil fields.   Now, keep in mind, invading Iraq is nothing new to the British.  After all, Winston Churchill as a commanding officer in the RAF, back the 1920’s, flew missions over Northern Iraq dropping toxic weapons of mass destruction in hopes of getting the trouble makers out of the way for the newly discovered oil development and production.

So, when the reports of barbaric and inhumane treatments of the Iraqis against one another, are being promoted, taught, aided, and abetted by the Western capitalist forces, why should this surprise anyone??  Didn’t the US do the same things in Latin –Central America?  ….in Vietnam?  … in the Philippines?….in Hitler’s Hollocaust?

How much longer will the global community tolerate the insanity of the Western initiated assaults against the world.  How many CIA coup d’etats which include the support and funding of the most heinous dictators only to turn around and attack and destroy these same dictators along with millions of innocent civilians, on this path of global banking and drug lord domination, and international theft of resources and property, before the global psyche cracks in two??

I am waiting to hear the cry of “uncle”.   It never comes.  The global community is the arm twisted and yet they fail to scream.   Is the American body this dumb and blind, that they fail to scream?  There are those in America who believe there is no reason to scream.  Things are fine.  Money in the pocket.  Trust funds safely stashed.  Food on the table.   There are others in America who are screaming and who hear the screams of despair and frustration, and it is deafening.

When will those in America who do hear the screams, stop profiting from the entrepreneurships of non profits who are raking in hundreds of millions of dollars each years collectively, pretending to be concerned about the global community and the domestic affairs, step away from the feast in order to effect change. ??

In my opinion, Thomas Jefferson was very wrong.  The American people have proven to be incapable of self governing, however, excellent at making profits off the crimes of their own US Government.
I challenge anyone who dare say, that GW Bush is an anomaly of the political paradigm in America.  The fact is, GW Bush is a product of the very culture and society existing in America.   Western Capitalism, as structured today, is a failed experiment, and so is Jefferson’s Republic.   It is not too late, however, to correct the wrongs.
