THE AMERICAN DREAM: THEOCRACY OR BUST ... Part 1 in a multipart series

THE LEFT IS BLINDED BY THE OBVIOUS

The American Political and Ideological Left, as one body, is making a world changing error in judgment. Free people don’t let malevolent regimes rise to power.

Blackmail and Coercion are the value principles, which have guided the UNITED STATES 3 Constitutional branches, political parties and coalitions, since the dawn of this nation.

The rise of the Theocratic Right has been a movement that simply seized control of the existing vulnerabilities in this flawed system. One might ask, so what, if the Christian Right is gaining controls? Next election cycle will cure this, or facilitate the return to corrected normal status. CRITICAL ERROR.

The Theocratic Right is the power and force controlling the current affairs of government, acting as the shield for the current administration’s global bank heist, and in return, being given free access to deliver money to Israel, and vilify the Muslim world.

The Theocratic Right is willing to ‘absolve’ the Bush administration’s obvious breeches of status quo normalcy and common morality standards, if Bush remains their poster child for salvation, and hands them the keys to the piggy bank, as well as the nation’s standards of cultural norms. The Theocratic leaders are themselves, scamming their congregations, however.

To grow this mega monster movement, the Theocratic Right has needed a common theme to bind the believers together. Politicizing Sermons and promises of salvation, to be released from the struggles of life in America, has drawn 10’s of millions to the alters to be ‘born again’, and in exchange, these masses have handed over sometimes, their last $.10. They are given Certificates of “Friend of Israel”, and told that this has purchased their ticket to the 2nd coming, assuring them a front row seat on the “rapture flight”.

In return, they have been handed marching orders to destroy the political and ideological left. The conditions are rigid and their motives are ambiguous, with one exception: Their perceptions that their own salvation rests on meeting the conditions.

The rise of the Theocratic Right.. 20 years of focused and fund driven planning, they have sailed to, through and over the battle field, with the Left watching the sunrises and sunsets, batting away this sect as if it were a nuisance gnat on a summer afternoon.

Thus far, the Left of Center masses have volumes of evidence that point to the rise of the evangelical movement, and its influence on the 3 branches of the US Government, yet, are quick to disregard the significance of this evidence, returning focus to more reachable targets, such as the Bush administration’s dishonesty or corruption. It is understandable why this focus is so prevalent. It is much easier to target a common perception of enemy governments, than it is to target neighbors and friends.

From “Impeach Bush” movements to “Revolutionary” new political party creation, the dissatisfied Americans are not seeing the boulder sitting in the road…. they already tripped over the elephant in the living room and are still hunting for the smoking gun. The elephant wasn’t smoking and neither is the boulder, so, they keep exploring.

The common misperception is that if the Bush administration is removed, replaced, or otherwise evicted, that the nation can recapture a time less filled with Constitutional breeches and violations. Yet to mention the reality of the history of the American process, as being anything but fairy tale romance, is to be labeled as Anti American by the Right, or Pro Bush justifier, by the Left.

Yet, without the Theocratic Right, G W Bush and cabal, would not be in the White House. Any campaign strategy or discussion which leaves out this component is going to be asking on Nov. 3, 2006, “what happened?”

AMERICANS REQUIRE TOOLS FOR FREEDOM AND TRUTH

Let me be perfectly clear here, I believe the Bush administration is the most dishonest, corruptible, and malevolent administration in our history as a nation. But let me also be clear, they represent America. They were not hatched on an alien planet, nor did they drop out of the sky into positions of power. Americans put them in those positions of power and they did so as the result of 400 years of enculturated myths and false beliefs about America and the US Government.

And let me also be clear, that one faction or sect, or party or coalition will rise to power, if no opposing power is present.

The required mass population milieu elements for the rise of totalitarianism or dictators usually include at least some, if not all of the following ingredients: ignorance, large working poverty class, working class idealism/apathy, disproportionate military / defense budgets, and abundance of national / natural and economic resources. The American public was ripe for the picking.

Neither the Right nor the Left have common knowledge regarding the source, or access methods to documents of facts, often-public records and in plain site. Both sides depend on re-circulated articles and proven discredited journalism, as echo chambers and amplifiers for non-facts and myths. This provides the perfect medium for propagandists and analysis of it.

For the Left, attempts to make sense out of the ‘dumb’ng’ and numbing down, or willingness by so many to subscribe to the voodoo political messages seemed surreal, unbelievable, shocking. How could so many Americans be duped by this administration? The answer is in plain site and the Left is unable, unwilling, "what's in it for me", to see it.

If they do see it, they find themselves in positions without necessary tools, to do anything about it.

LIBERAL IDEOLOGY

Recent polls that reflect apparent growing dissatisfaction with the Bush administration are touted as evidence that the nation’s masses are less than 40% satisfied and as low as 28% satisfied. For many, this signals a significant shift in public opinion, and gives comfort to those who wish to believe that American values are aligned with ‘truth wins’ ideology. Nothing could be further from the truth, itself.

The debates continue to roar, however, in forums, chat rooms, email lists, over topics like Iraq War- WMD, Abortion, Gays, Guns and God, and for many involved or observing, the debates are circular and minus any logic. How can people debate what color the watermelon is, if the object at the source of the debate is actually a banana?

But, the debates continue with the Left believing all they have to do, is “show” the evidence of the watermelon, and being perplexed by what their opponent keeps insisting is an object on the table that is colored, yellow.

THE 3RD FACTOR

The Left seems to not understand the most basic factor of conflict resolution, or reality testing, lies in determining how each side perceives the other side, vs., the object of the of the debate itself.. This becomes the 3rd factor.

And critical to the debate, is the understanding that the opponents are both locked into the ideologies of the same enculturation of the past 400 years. Both sides are stuck with legends and myths about America and the US Government that factor in this 3rd element.

Among some of the most debilitating myths, for all of the American public, is the belief that the American people have had power over their elected officials. Depending on the next cycle of elections to hold their representatives accountable,, for example: if the elected rep doesn’t hold to his promises, then he/she is not re-elected. In the meantime, the damage was done via written laws and amendments that take mountains to correct. The recipients of the bad laws have been, are currently, the working poor and middle.

And for centuries, the masses have focused blame on each other, vs. risking being marginalized, by standing up and pointing the accusing finger at the ‘parent’ in power, worse, to the person in the mirror. As if life was not hard enough, we have to add the crimes of our society to our plate?

How can any American resolve the notion that their elected officials are not representing the American public’s interest, nor have they ever? The wonderful candidates that the grassroots communities labor to move through the system, become aliens to the American public interest when they walk through the doors of the US Congress. All magical thinking that involves ‘best interest’ and Americans are, in reality, oxymoronic notions.

Yet, as most children believe, parents are powerful and will altruistically behave in a benevolent manner with regards to children’s needs.

The candidate becomes obligated to forces included campaign contributions, lobby, and foreign bankers, with the home community being a last session dealmaker. The campaign trail begins when the final vote is counted and the name on the door is changed. .

One cannot overstate the power of magical thinking.

Part 2…. The Formula for Changing…. . Rests not in the changing of the guard, only, but more importantly, in the change of paradigms that most Americans call ‘normal’.

After having read this just once I feel a sense of relief. Finally words are beginning to reflect and explain many of my misgivings.

For more than twenty years now I have had a growing unrest in regards to many aspects of life in America. Not just the politics, but for our social ills as well. I, for one, believe the corruption and greed our political system drives in part enables most if not all of our social ills.

Having been raised in an ultra conservative environment, Notions of what was correct and best for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness were pretty well engrained, by rote. No independent thinking allowed. No questions. No way. The local preacher just might find out and then what? Excom from the church if you were lucky. If not, intense prayer interventions and religious ridicule. Ostrization.

Needless to say, I had a growing unrest as to how our liberties were eroding ever so subtly, how the workiing class was becoming less prosperous, and how strong arm and manipulitive tactics by justice officials grew with regularity.

Living abroad for a significant portion of my adult years, I had the wonderful opportunity to see America through the eyes of everyday people from around the world. As well, I was in professional position that enabled me to read see between the lines of what was being reported in international politics and business.

I can only say this. People of America! Just for a moment, set aside the theocratic influences that you think are normal, step back and take a long hard look at ourselves as a nation and culture. If you're objective, and when you are finished, many of you who are truely honest with yourselves will in fact experience a heaviness of heart. If not you may just be lost to the factions of greed and decit. Don't hide behind the old adage, "We might have some problems but we're still the best". This is not a sporting event. There is no "BEST" or better than. We are in a struggle for what is right for all of humanity. Do you want your children to inherit what has come to pass, ie., political/corperate greed, social injustices, terrorism, eroded liberties, well I don't. I'm afraid for my children. Very afraid.
