US MILITARY PSYOPS, and you thought it was KARL Rove.

I am not sure how to get my arms around this, but I am going to try.

This is what I thought I knew, starting some years back, when my enculturated and conditioned, America, the land of opportunity with the benevolently corrupt government influenced brain, met up with the reality…

Congress members do back room deals, highest bidder gets the new law, or earmark, or contract, all of it amounting to what I consider a spiced up version of “Bonnie and Clyde” does Washington, DC.

The US foreign policies have never been quite what the American public was told they were and a lot of people around the world have been hurt by propaganda campaigns, or Information Strategies, economic assaults and governmental interferences conducted by the US.

The American public has been molded in the image and likeness of the perfect drone, don’t ask, don’t look and you don’t need to know, model.  Just keep working, paying taxes and saving for that new TV, to watch a rerun of “Father Knows Best”, or current day “American Idol” and “Who done it in Aruba”, drama series.

Americans have been comfortably excited and entertained by the almost legendary science fiction style stories about alleged Top Secret Government closet skeletons, like Area 51, Roswell space alien and UFO’s.   What is NOT myth, however, are years of US Government experiments conducted on US citizens and others around the world, like radiation exposure, nuclear medicine, chemo-pharmaceutical testing, socio-behavioral, psychiatric treatments and dozens of others, on mostly unsuspecting private and military individuals.

Our Federal leaders have exposed our citizens and innocent foreigners to chemical nightmares and biological horror scenarios, in the name of science and or military weapon defense.   Our use of chemical weapons in Vietnam, Depleted Uranium in Persian Gulf and Near East, not to mention full scale detonation of Nuclear bombs in Japan, Marshall Islands, South Pacific, Pacific Rim.

And now, EW, electromagnetic wave weaponry, is in full use mode.  The U.S. Government has the capability to technologically and by total penetration of the global mass media, control the entire world, starting with, THE HOMELAND.

The US Government does not have mass graves hidden somewhere in the desert SW.  They don’t leave evidence of their handy work.   Without a trace.  Poof!

So, it should not be a surprise to anyone to learn that this type of malevolence in governance, would not hesitate to utilize military information strategies, to persuade the citizens of this country, and potentially hostile or hostile foreigners, into actions or beliefs or paradigms that best serve the interest of the US.

I do believe that while he is a brilliant political operative, Karl Rove cannot be crowned as the master planner of the past 5 years.  Certainly, however, he was a player in a masterful theater of military style Information warfare.   The problem exists when the operating theater becomes the homeland, and the homeland becomes the adversary to the USG.

From the National Security Archives:

Oct. 2003, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, signed into action, Information Operations Roadmap, "provides the Department with a plan to advance the goal of information operations as a core military competency" and "stands as an another example of the Department's commitment to transform our military capabilities to keep pace with emerging threats and to exploit new opportunities afforded by innovation and rapidly developing information technologies." The plan was developed by an oversight panel led by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Resource and Plans) and representatives from the Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Special Operations Command, among other organizations.

The Roadmap has been cited in the media several times, but has not previously been released to the public. The document calls on DoD to enhance its capabilities in five key Information Operations (IO) areas: electronic warfare (EW), PSYOP, Operations Security (OPSEC), military deception and computer network operations (CNO).
In light of recent media coverage of alleged propaganda activities by the military in Iraq, the Roadmap gives as one of its recommendations the need to "Clarify Lanes in the Road for PSYOP, Public Affairs and Public Diplomacy."
"The likelihood that PSYOP messages will be replayed to a much broader audience, including the American public, requires that specific boundaries be established for PSYOP. In particular:
(U) PSYOP should focus on support to military endeavors (exercises, deployments and operations) in non-permissive or semi-permissive environments (i.e., when adversaries are part of the equation).

(U) DoD should collaborate with other agencies for U.S. Government public diplomacy programs and information objectives.  PSYOP forces and capabilities can be employed in support of public diplomacy (e.g., as part of approved theater security cooperation guidelines.)

(U) DoD Public Affairs should be more proactive in support of the U.S.Government Public Diplomacy objectives to include a broader set of select foreign media and audiences.”

This made me remember an incidence, prior to the start of the Iraq invasion by the US and Coalition forces.   Condi Rice is on MEET THE PRESS.   A couple of days prior, the NYTimes comes out with an article to the effect that an ‘unnamed’ source high up in the White House, confirms that Saddam has WMDs.   Obviously, the White House Press Room at work, or more accurately, the Global Information Center, leaking disinformation to the major news sources.   When Condi is on the MTP program, she states that Saddam has WMD, quoting the NYTIMES.

This Rumsfeld document not only spells out the structure under which Americans can be persuaded to do, or think, or behave according to the information content manipulation of the day, but it also defines the goals of controlling not only hostile foreign adversaries, it provides the structure to control the entire globe, via Electromagnetic Wave, Internet, and any other means the U.S.G. has at its disposal.

Do you want to use journalists?  No problem.  How about policy think tanks?  Good idea.  What about foreign press?  Excellent.  Why didn’t I think of that?
