TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR BULGARIAN NURSES

..currently imprisoned in Libya, and who are facing a FIRING SQUAD, sometime after NOV. 15, 2005, if a Monday meeting with US pResident cannot ultimately persuade a Libyan Court of Appeals sentence reversal on Nov. 15.

Long story cut short, Nurses from Bulgaria who traveled to Libya in 1998, to work in a children's hospital, have been accused of willfully infecting children with the AIDS virus, and in 1999, were arrested. This activity, according to the Libyan court, was underwritten by the ISRAELI MOSSAD. The subversion charge was dropped, but the Firing Squad still has them on their schedule.

The nurses have reported being exposed to repeated and chronic tortures since their 1999 arrests and convictions, by Libyan officials.

WHO officials have investigated the situation, and found that the conditions at the hospital were bad, and that some of the children were already infected prior to the nurses' arrival and some were infected following the nurses' arrests.

HOSTAGE SITUATION
The Libyan government has asked for blood money from Bulgaria to compensate the families' of the affected children, comparing the situation to the Libyan payment for the LOCKERBEE explosion and the subsequential lifting of sanctions by the US against Libya.

Libyan officials state that if the Bulgarian government pays $10million USD, for each of the 420 victims, then the charges could be forgiven. Bulgaria has already forgiven Libya's debt to Bulgaria, and provided needed medical equipment for their hospitals. And, Bulgaria's

In 2003, with the nurses held in Libyan prisons, Condi Rice visits Libya to congratulate them on their WMD exposure and payment for past terrorism, and protested the case, meanwhile in Brussels, the sanctions were lifted against Libya.

These nurses are hostages. They deserve the international communities' protest of this situation and demand that Libya release them. They are innocent and being used as scapegoats and for blackmail.
