If the American people failed to pay their taxes, who would pay for the $billions of USD spent on frills, trips, planes, and the 5 star hotels for our top military, and corporate brass, while our troops are lucky if they get their monthly pay check on time.
The fact is this: the USA Legislative body is owned, paid for and obligated by the Broadcast Industry, the Pharmaceutical industry, the Oil and Energy Industry... To name the top winners of this ownership. ("Look Ma, I just bought me a Congress-man." Ma says, "Honey, now you know what I have told you about this.... These creatures are simply too high maintenance!")
Now then, Since the cold war, and downsizing of military, Corporations have been able to get into the war theatres under the cloak of private security and the main themes have been:
ILLEGAL ARMS SELLING
DIAMONDS
OIL-GAS
WATER
DRUGS--MONEY LAUNDERING
While the USA has always been a drug trafficking agent, broker, and arms dealer, the hunt for WATER is becoming increasingly important as OIL once was and still is today. These activities take place deep under cover of the layers of corporate shields and then cloaked as honest PRIME CONTRACTORS for the USA Government. War time serves the perfect arena and milieu. And, often times, the little projects taking place in the theatre, add to the real time conflicts and Warring that is going on and thus the military becomes the mediator and the protectorate and assailant and body guard and captor and THE very Dead.
Pertaining to the Procurement of Contractors for completion of work, ranging from providing Infra-systems- health, education, to Construction of Infrastructures having been destroyed during the Coalition bombing, one of the Federal arms of the Government, the US Agency for International Aid, (USAID), in 2003, responded to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists - Center for Public Integrity, FOIA request regarding procurement and oversight:
"...As a federal agency, USAID is obligated to and follows strictly the Federal Acquisitions Regulations, (FAR)."
Additionally, USAID representative, Edward Fox, wrote that USAID conducts strict supervision over it's contractors and that they are compliant with the oversight provided by the GAO.
THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE IS GUILTY OF FRAUD, and much worse. THEY ARE STEALING OUR MONEY.
In March, 2004, the GAO issued these findings, pertaining to the DOD:
1. 94% of the National Guard had not been paid adequately, or in a timely manner.
2. Inventory orders had not been received, yet paid for, and or orders were duplicated and yet the inventory still did not reach the targets... thus, the military was forced to cannibalize equipment, etc. .
3. The new generation chemical protective suits, available on the internet for $3.00, were purchased by the DOD from special contractors for $200.00.
Yet, over 64,000 old generation/defective suits were still being sold by the DOD to the public, after the DOD reported that they couldn't locate the gear. THOUSANDS OF SUITS WERE SOLD TO LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES BEFORE THE GAO COULD PULL THE PLUG. These suits are defective and should be trashed. Yet, the local community agencies cannot afford, now, to purchase adequate gear.
4. 68,000 Premium class airline tickets were purchased by the DOD, and the GAO found that 73% were not authorized, nor justified.
5. As of Sept. 2003, the DOD had collected only $687,000 in Federal Contractor tax levy, when it SHOULD have collected over $100,000,000.
In general, the GAO found the performance of the DOD, fraudulent, and more. Recommendations were made, and the following report shows ....
